Sustainability
Warmth that reaches beyond our walls.
Every data center produces heat, uses water, and stays lit through the night. At Evenhold, we see each of those as an opportunity to give back.
Warmth Recovery Program
Our heat, your driveway.
Residual heat from campus operations will be gently directed toward neighboring properties, keeping Roxbury driveways clear of snow and ice all winter long.
Beyond the driveway, Warmth Recovery is projected to deliver benefits throughout the year, extending Roxbury's growing season and reducing the burden of snow removal.
- Projected warming in adjacent yards
- Up to 11°F
- Program availability
- Year-round
- Residential snow removal
- Not required
Driveway clearing is a passive benefit and is not guaranteed for residents who park on the lawn. Warmth Recovery operates continuously, including June, July, and August.
Energy
We intend to procure renewable energy wherever available, practical, and cost-competitive, and to support a stronger regional grid for everyone who depends on it.
Water
Many homes in the Roxbury corridor rely on private wells. We take that seriously. Our cooling design draws on shared local groundwater, and we will make every reasonable effort to avoid impacting private wells. Learn more
Light
Full-cutoff fixtures direct light downward, where it's needed. For safety, site lighting operates continuously, keeping the campus visible to neighbors at every hour of the night.
